We were greeted with a smile and warm welcome, by the lady behind the bar. We had an elderly relative with us. She ensured she had a chair that was near to a fire. She went through the food daily offer and promptly took our drinks order. Food arrived very hot, of a high quality for pub food and excellent size portions. Will definitely be returning soon. Parking: Large carpark

Very disappointed in the food. We booked a table for 12 for a birthday. Most of the food was cold, some of it was stone cold. Steaks were not cooked well done as requested and still had blood running from them. We were asked after we had finished if all was OK . We could not be bother to send anything back because it would have been all of it really! We were given free deserts. Front of house staff were very good but shame on the chef/cook as they let the place down. Sending cold food out a big no no!!

The ladies serving were very accommodating, especially when we had such a large group! They were vary patient with the kids when they were being fussy about choosing and helped with any additional requirements! Food was good, the steak I had was very tasty, slightly overdone for what I asked for but still delicious which makes a change for a pub steak. In general other peoples food was good and clean plates all around! Thank you! Dietary restrictions: Our gluten free person was pleasantly surprised at the desert options and wasn’t ill afterwards which is always a bonus when eating out! She enjoyed her meal. Kid-friendliness: Lack of available kids menus, I had to go online to get the desert menu for the kids. Staff were patient with the younger kids who kept changing their minds.

We had a lovely meal here tonight for our daughter's 11th birthday (Twins) with our friends, The service was excellent, a very polite young lady served us think her name was Poppy 🤷 but nothing was too much trouble for her .The other lady who brought our food to the table was also very well mannered and made sure my Friend was happy as she has a nut allergy. All in all a very good experience here will visit again. One thing I will point out the ladies toilets were very clean with a fab mirror .

Our family of 7 went for Christmas Dinner and were very impressed by the food and service. We were looked after by the lovely Molly. She was so welcoming and worked so hard to make our lunch perfect. She is a credit to the crown. We had a 3 course lunch, the portions and food were very good. We would highly recommend spending your next Christmas lunch with the Crown. We will be back next year Merry Christmas and a happy new year to you all Love the Bakers ❤️

Food was delicious in particular the ultimate southern fried chicken burger and a Mac n cheese with pulled pork topping. The burger was nice and fresh bun included with a lovely chicken gravy Service nice and friendly and quick , though it's a quiet evening 2 days after Christmas which was a nice bonus Nice decor here too.

My mum and I go here regulary for a lunch, the service is exceptional and the food is very good. We went on Wednesday for the festive lunch and it was excellent, fresh produce and perfectly cooked (which is very rare at alot of places nowadays!!) The service was excellent as always. Well done!!!

I stopped by here for a lunchtime meal and chose the pie. It came fairly quickly, hot and tasty, quite rich in flavour but found the gravy a bit thin (guess it was just ready-made diluted granules) and whilst the chips were good - dry and crispy -, the carrots were overdone and the peas somewhat hard, possibly leftover veg from a sunday roast. The service was pleasant enough, and I'll still return when I'm passing by again, but the overall meal was sufficient to plug a gap and not really anything great to write home about. Just stopped off for a drink and a snack - Mac n cheese with pulled pork. Was sufficient for what I wanted. Quite quiet upon entry, but soon filled up! Parking: Watch out when exiting - blind exit!
